Event Overview
Run Tosa Run features a 5K run/walk and a half-mile kids' run. The event is hosted by the Tosa East Towne Neighborhood Association, with lead sponsors BelAir Cantina and GRAEF. Net proceeds benefit Ronald McDonald House Charities Eastern Wisconsin.
The Course
The courses travel through tree-lined streets in the Tosa East Towne neighborhood of Wauwatosa. The start and finish area is at 69th Street and North Avenue.
Events and Registration
The event offers two distances:
- A 5K run/walk.
- A half-mile kids' run, recommended for participants 10 and younger. Parents can accompany children for free.
Registration fees increase over time. For the 5K, the initial fee is $30. For the kids' run, the initial fee is $12. T-shirts are guaranteed for runners who register by April 15.
Post-Race and Prizes
Post-race festivities include food, refreshments, and giveaways. The top male and top female finishers in the 5K each receive an East Tosa prize package. Age-group winners receive medals and ribbons. All participants are entered into drawings for prizes from local businesses. All children who finish the kids' run receive a toy medal.
