Event Overview
The Wisconsin Pickle Run is a running event featuring several distances on a paved trail. The event is noted for its pickle theme, including pickle-themed refreshments and hidden pickles on the course that participants can find for extra swag.
Events
The event offers four distances:
- 5K Run
- 5K Ruck (walking or hiking with a weighted backpack)
- 2 Mile Walk
- Little Dill 1K Run (for children)
Course and Location
The race takes place on the paved Glacial Drumlin Trail in Wales, Wisconsin, starting and finishing at Wales Community Park. The course offers views of the Kettle Moraine area.
Awards and Participant Items
Awards are given for the top overall male and female runners in each distance, as well as the top three finishers in 5-year age groups. Every participant receives a finisher's "woodle," which is a magnet. Special "Average Joe & Jane" awards are given to the male and female runners who finish exactly in the middle of all participants. A custom t-shirt is guaranteed for those who register by a specific early deadline.
Additional Information
Walkers are welcome in any distance. Teams of four or more can have their race packets pre-assembled for pickup. The event supports the Silver Circle Foundation, a charity aiding firefighters, police, veterans, and troops. Volunteer opportunities are available, offering a free entry to a future race.
