Race to End Women’s Cancer
The Race to End Women’s Cancer is the Foundation for Women’s Cancer’s signature Move4Her event. It takes place on September 20, 2026 at Freedom Plaza in Washington, D.C., and brings together survivors, caregivers, healthcare professionals, advocates, and families to support research and education for gynecologic cancers.
The event includes these participation options:
- 5K Run
- 1M Walk
- Kids Fun Run for ages 12 and under
- Virtual participation for completing a 5K or 1M remotely
Virtual participants receive an official race tee, finisher medal, and a digital bib. The Kids Fun Run registration includes a T-shirt, commemorative bib, kid-friendly medal, and access to family activities such as face painting, crafts, sign-making, and a photo booth. Strollers and leashed four-legged companions are welcome. The event is described as open to people of all ages and abilities.
Fundraising supports prevention, early detection, treatment, research, and education. The stated fundraising goal is $750,000; $336,406 has been raised toward that goal, representing 45 percent.
A Survivor Tent offers a place to honor and reflect with features such as a ribbon wall installation, recorded survivor stories, educational materials, giveaways and keepsakes, a photo backdrop, shaded seating, light snacks, and water.
