Fall Backyard Burn at Riverbend Regional Park
The Fall Backyard Burn at Riverbend Regional Park is a stop in a trail running series offering 5 mile and 10 mile options on park trails. The course runs along riverside singletrack near the Potomac River, is described as not highly technical, and includes a few short hills and scenic views west of Great Falls National Park. Course elevation gain is approximately 350 feet for the 5 mile option and 700 feet for the 10 mile option.

Facilities and event logistics include portable toilets at the start and finish area, aid stations, medical support, post-race food, and race shirts or swag. The event is staged by the river in front of the visitor center; parking is available in several park areas including paved lots, roadside grass areas, and near the nature center. Race rules specify visible race numbers, no in-ear headphones, no pets, pacers, or baby strollers on course, outside assistance only within 50 meters of aid stations, and that racers must stay on designated trails.
