Race Against Human Trafficking
This event is hosted by Plant the Seed. It takes place at the Sunland Park Racetrack & Casino on Futurity Drive in Sunland Park, New Mexico.
The event is a fundraising 5K/Walk focused on the fight against human trafficking. Registration fees support the cause. Participants must wear their assigned race bib visibly on the front of their outer clothing for timing purposes.
The following race distances are offered:
- 1 mile fun run
- 5k
- 10k (noted as being offered for the first time this year)
- Virtual 5K
Team categories for fundraising include Community, Corporation, and Schools. The event has a fundraising goal of $50,000. There is a no-refund policy on race entry fees, but transfers to other available events are permitted with a fee. Race insurance can be purchased during registration.
