50th Annual YMCA Turkey Trot - El Paso
The event takes place on November 26, 2026 at the corner of Ange and Montana, 900 Montana, El Paso, TX 79902. It includes a timed 5 km run, a 1 mile fun walk, and a noncompetitive participation option called Sleep or Swim.

The Sleep or Swim option is completed at the participant's leisure for a fee of $40. Participants in Sleep or Swim receive a short sleeve cotton T-shirt, a participation medal, and a race bib; no timing needs to be submitted. T-shirts and medals will not be mailed and must be picked up in person.
Packet pick up is scheduled at two YMCA locations: 11/21-11/23 at Fred and Maria Loya Family YMCA, 2044 Trawood (times listed in event materials), and 11/24-11/25 at Westside Family YMCA, 7145 N. Mesa. Registration fees vary by date: early registration from 08/01/2026 to 09/25/2026 is $39; regular registration from 09/26/2026 to 11/20/2026 is $50; late registration from 11/21/2026 to 11/25/2026 is $69; on-site day of registration on 11/26/2026 is $79 if space is available.
Participant limits are set at 3,200 runners and 300 combined walkers, swimmers, and sleepers for a total capacity of 3,500. The 5 km route starts at Montana and Ange, follows Willow and Grant with a turnaround at 2604 Grant Ave, and returns to the start. The 1 mile route starts at Montana and Ange, turns around at 1518 Montana, and returns to the start. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
