About the race
The 50th Annual YMCA of El Paso Turkey Trot takes place on November 26, 2026 in El Paso, Texas. The event offers timed and participation options and is limited to a total of 3,500 participants: 3,200 runners and 300 walkers, swimmers, and sleepers combined.
Distances and options:
- 5K run
- 1 mile walk
- Sleep or Swim (not a race)
The 5K course begins at Montana and Ange, turns left onto Willow, then right onto Grant, turns around at 2604 Grant Avenue, and returns to Montana and Ange along the same route. The 1 mile route begins at Montana and Ange, turns around at 1518 Montana, and returns to the start.
Registration fees vary by date: early registration from August 1 to October 2 is $39; regular registration from October 3 to November 20 is $50; late registration from November 21 to November 25 is $69; day of event registration on November 26 is $79 if space is available. The Sleep or Swim option is $40 and is completed at the participant's leisure; it includes a short sleeve cotton T-shirt, a participation medal, and a race bib. No timing submission is required for Sleep or Swim.
Race packet pick up is available at Fred and Maria Loya Family YMCA, 2044 Trawood, on November 21 to 23 with specified hours, and at Westside Family YMCA, 7145 N. Mesa, on November 24 and 25 with specified hours. T-shirts and medals will not be mailed and must be picked up in person. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
