Pups & Pastries - Cary, NC
Pups & Pastries is a community running event on September 12, 2026, held at WakeMed Soccer Park, 201 Soccer Park Drive, Cary, NC 27511. The event supports Second Chance Pet Adoptions and includes both in-person and virtual race options.
Event distances and options include:

- 6.5 Mile
- Doggie Dash 5K
- 5K
- Fun Mile
- Kids in Strollers (ages 4 and under)
- Virtual 6.5 Mile with shirt and medal shipping
- Virtual 5K with shirt and medal shipping
- Virtual Fun Mile with medal shipping
- Exhibitor space
Dogs are permitted only in the Doggie Dash 5K and Doggie Dash 6.5 Mile. Only one dog per registered runner is allowed, dogs must remain on leashes, and a $10 dog registration fee is collected and directed to Second Chance Pet Adoptions. Children 12 and younger are not permitted in the Doggie Dash races.
Registrations for the 5K and 6.5 Mile include a shirt and a finishers medal; Fun Mile participants receive a medal. The event offers more than $4,000 in potential awards across overall and age group categories and includes incentives for referral and team sign ups. RaceJoy is provided for live phone tracking, GPS progress alerts, and send a cheer functionality; participants must carry a phone and enable tracking to use those features.
