Overview

Punk Panther Green Gateways is a trail race on Saturday 17 January 2026 starting and finishing in Otley, West Yorkshire. The route follows sections of the Otley Green Gateways and Meanwood Valley Trail, staying largely off-road while passing close to Leeds parks and public green spaces. The event is organised as part of the Punk Panther series and does not accept entries on the day.

The event awards ITRA points (1/1/2) and provides UTMB qualification markers (Q20K/Q20K/Q50K). Minimum age is 18 and maximum entrants are 200. Registration is at Otley Cricket Club; parking is provided at a nearby Craftsman Tools car park (locked after the day). Provisional GPX files are available and the final GPX will be emailed with competitor instructions.

All ultramarathon entrants receive a tracker; half‑marathon and 20‑mile runners can hire trackers. There are kit requirements for all distances, including a waterproof jacket, fluids, cup, bivvy/survival bag, whistle, personal first aid kit and a hard copy of the map. The course includes timing points and checkpoints; failure to pass required points may incur penalties or retirement. Checkpoints offer drinks and snacks with vegan and gluten‑free options. Every finisher receives a medal and an event T‑shirt; hot food is available at the finish. Dogs are allowed on the course subject to event rules but are not permitted inside registration or the finish building. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
