Event overview

Punk Panther Green Gateways is a trail race in and around Leeds, starting and finishing in Otley. The event offers multiple distances:

  • 14.0 miles
  • 20.0 miles
  • 34.1 miles

The route follows the Green Gateways guide and largely stays off-road, with much of the return along the Meanwood Valley Trail. The 34.1-mile course includes three checkpoints and timing points; the 20.0-mile and half-marathon routes use a subset of those checkpoints. ITRA and UTMB qualification points are available for the listed distances.

Logistics and race requirements

Registration takes place at Otley Cricket Club and there is a nearby car park provided by Craftsman Tools. Entries close before race day and on-the-day entries are not accepted. Maximum entrants are 200.

All ultramarathon entrants receive a tracker; half-marathon and 20-mile entrants may hire a tracker. The organisers provide provisional GPX files and will email final GPX and competitor instructions before the event. Runners must carry required kit at all distances, including a waterproof jacket with taped seams, survival/bivvy bag, whistle, cup for checkpoint drinks, personal first aid kit and a hard copy of the map/route description. Trackers for ultramarathons must be worn at all times. There are vegan and gluten-free options at checkpoints and at the finish, where every finisher receives a medal and an event T-shirt unless they opt out. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
