Yorkshireman Off Road Marathon
The Yorkshireman Off Road Marathon and Half Marathon is an annual off road race organised by Keighley and Craven Athletics Club. The event for 2026 takes place on Sunday 13th September and offers two distances:
- Full Marathon: 26.2 miles with 3065 feet of ascent.
- Half Marathon: 14.8 miles with 1750 feet of ascent.
Both races are run under Fell Runners Association rules and carry mandatory kit requirements. Feed stations are supplied on the courses: the half marathon has two stations and the full marathon has five. Feed stations provide water, squash, cola, fruit and a variety of snacks; additional items are available at later marathon stations and final details are published in the race brief.
Entries have sold out in recent years. The entry fee structure for 2026 includes a base fee with a reduced rate for early entries, a discount for Fell Runners Association members, and a discount for entrants aged under 25. Optional race clothing is available for purchase in short sleeve, long sleeve, hoodie, and zipped hoodie options.
Route maps, GPX files and written guides are provided and waterproof maps are sold at recce runs. The organiser offers free guided recce runs in summer, chip timing with live split updates, category awards, a pairs category in the full marathon, and hot and cold refreshments plus hot food including vegan and gluten free options at the finish.
