Entries have sold out in recent years and the 2026 race sold out nine months in advance. Entry fees for 2026 were £22 early and £26.50 thereafter, with a £4 Fell Runners Association discount and a £10 under‑25 discount at entry. Optional race clothing and hoodies are available at additional cost; short sleeve and long sleeve options are offered.
Both races are run under Fell Runners Association rules and carry a mandatory kit requirement. Feed stations are located at marked mile points on each route and offer water, squash, cola, fruit, sweets and additional items; the full marathon has more feed stations and extra options such as salted potatoes and fruitcake. Chip timing is used and live updates are provided when runners pass feed stations and the finish. Recce runs are organised in summer with waterproof route maps sold at recce runs. Age eligibility follows FRA rules; competitors must be 19 by the end of the race year. Deferral, substitution and refund policies are published and limited.
