Event overview

The Yorkshireman Off Road Marathon & Half Marathon is scheduled for Sunday 13 September 2026 and is organised by Keighley & Craven Athletics Club. The event is off-road, covering moorland, trails and woods, and is held under Fell Runners Association (FRA) rules. Mandatory minimum kit applies to both races. Chip timing and live web updates are used for splits and finish results.

Distances

  • 26.2 miles - full marathon, 3065 ft ascent
  • 14.8 miles - half marathon, 1750 ft ascent

There are multiple well stocked feed stations on each route and hot food and drinks available at the finish. Route GPX files and maps are provided; waterproof race maps are sold at reccy runs and on race day for £2.50. Free guided reccy runs are organised in summer.

Entries, categories and policies

Entries open 1 October 2025 and close 31 July 2026; entries are limited by land permissions and recent events have sold out in advance. Entry fees include a discount for Fell Runners Association members and a reduced rate for under-25s. The full marathon accepts solo and pairs entries (mixed, men’s and women’s pair categories with prizes); the half marathon is for individuals only. Clothing options are available at extra cost, including short and long sleeve race T-shirts, a hoodie and a zipped hoodie. The organiser allows free deferrals and substitutions within stated deadlines and does not issue refunds except in specified circumstances.
