Highland Parks and Recreation 51st Annual Pumpkin Plod
The event takes place on November 26, 2026 in Highland, IN at 2450 Lincoln Street. It includes a 10 km run and an unofficial 5 km walk near Highway Ave. and Kennedy Ave.
The 10 km run is USATF certified, described as a flat, fast course, and is part of the Calumet Striders 2026 Gold Cup Series. The run is chip timed by T and H Timing. Awards for the 10 km include a pumpkin pie for the top three finishers in each category.
Walkers are encouraged to take part in the unofficial 5 km walk. Participants will receive a cotton long sleeve race shirt while supplies last; registering by October 16 guarantees a shirt. Registration opens September 14, 2026 and closes October 17, 2026. Fees are listed per event.
Shirt and bib pickup is available at the Lincoln Center Fieldhouse the day before the race and on race day. The organizer supplies shirts while quantities last and distributes awards to top finishers in the 10 km categories. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
