The 25th Annual Turkey Trot at the Portage Township YMCA takes place on Thursday, November 27, 2025, in Portage, IN (3100 Willowcreek Road, 46368). The event offers a professionally timed 5K race and a free non-competitive 1K Kids Fun Run. All entry fee proceeds support the YMCA Annual Campaign, which provides financial assistance for local programs related to food, shelter, chronic disease management, education, and physical activity. The Portage Township YMCA states its mission is to put Christian principles into practice through programs that build a healthy spirit, mind, and body for all.

Early 5K registration through October 31 is listed at $25. Registration from November 1 through November 25 is listed at $35. On-site or race day registration is listed at $45. The 1K Kids Fun Run is free; its registration closes November 26, 2025. The 5K registration includes a long-sleeve event shirt and a custom finisher medal; shirts are guaranteed for registrants through November 1, 2025. Awards are planned for top overall and masters runners, plus top three male and female finishers in multiple age groups from 4-7 up to 70 and up. An eight-week training group meets on Saturdays beginning October 4, 2025. Free child watch is available during the event. Packet pickup is available the day before and on the event day.
