26th Annual Turkey Trot - Portage Township YMCA
The Portage Township YMCA hosts the 26th annual Turkey Trot on November 26, 2026 in Portage, Indiana at 3100 Willowcreek Road. The event includes a free, non-competitive kids fun run and a competitive, professionally timed 5K. Packet pickup is available on November 25 and on race day. A free child watch is available during the race.
- 5K (3.1 miles), competitive and professionally timed, includes long sleeve event shirt and custom finisher medal.
- 1K Kids Fun Run, free and non-competitive.
Registration fees vary by date: $25 for early registration before October 31, $35 for registration November 1 through November 25, and $45 for on-site or race day registration. Event shirts are included in the 5K fee and are guaranteed for registrants through November 1.
Awards are presented for Top Overall Male and Female, Top Masters Male and Female, and Top three male and female finishers in these age groups: 4-7, 8-10, 11-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, and 70 and up.
All proceeds from entry fees support the YMCA Annual Campaign. The Portage Township YMCA's mission is to put Christian principles into practice through programs that build a healthy spirit, mind, and body for all. The campaign helps provide financial assistance and access to programs and services that address food, shelter, chronic disease management, education, and physical activity.
