Turkey Trot - Portage Township YMCA
The Portage Township YMCA holds its 25th Annual Turkey Trot on November 26, 2026, on Thanksgiving morning at the YMCA facility in Portage, Indiana. The event offers both a non-competitive kids run and a professionally timed 5K race. Registration proceeds support the YMCA Annual Campaign.

The 5K entry includes a long sleeve event shirt and a custom finisher medal. Shirts are guaranteed for registrants who register through 11/01/2026. Awards are presented for Top Overall Male and Female, Top Masters Male and Female, and the top three male and female finishers in multiple age groups, beginning with ages 4 to 7 and extending to 60 and up.
Free child watch is available during the race. Packet pickup is offered on November 26 and on race day. A Couch to Course training group is available; the group meets for eight weeks on Saturdays at the YMCA and the first training day is to be determined.
All entry fee proceeds go toward the YMCA Annual Campaign to provide financial assistance and support programs that deliver food, shelter, chronic disease management, education, and physical activity to members of the local community.
