Puffing Billy x TRC Lilydale x New Balance Social Run
This is a free social run organised in the lead-up to the Puffing Billy Running Festival, hosted at the Puffing Billy Railway Lakeside Visitor Centre, Emerald Lake Park, Emerald VIC 3782. The Running Company Lilydale and New Balance are listed as event sponsors.
The program includes arrival at the Function Room, a New Balance shoe fitting and opportunity to test newly released shoes, a welcome with acknowledgement of country and railway safety information, a course briefing, the group run within Emerald Lake Park and a return to the visitor centre. After the run there is a prize draw with a chance to win a pair of New Balance shoes and free post-run massages in the Function Room. Guests may purchase food and beverages and use the visitor centre and park grounds.
Practical details: RSVP is required and attendance is free; there are limited spots. The event is open to runners aged 16 years and over. The event is dog friendly but dogs are not permitted inside the Lakeside Visitor Centre building. Bag drop is available in the Function Room. Photographers will take photos during the event; participants can indicate if they prefer not to be photographed during registration and by crossing their arms when they see a photographer. The course is contained within Emerald Lake Park, is not marked and will have run leaders at various paces, so participants are advised to carry a mobile phone in case they become separated.
