Event overview
The Plaid Nation 5K is scheduled for Saturday, April 11, 2026, in Hilton Head Island, South Carolina. Produced by Palmetto Running Company, this is the fourth annual Plaid Nation 5K and serves as the official kick-off to RBC Heritage week. The course begins and finishes at Lowcountry Celebration Park and passes through the South Forest Beach neighborhood on a partially closed course. An after party and festival will take place at the Bank Hilton Head Beer Garden following the race. Proceeds are donated to the Heritage Classic Foundation.
Registration, race items and awards
Registration is online only and closes on Wednesday, April 9. The base entry fee is listed at $50; the price increases after December 30, 2025. Registration includes a tech T-shirt, a finishers medal, a complimentary beer for participants 21 and older, and two entries to a Tuesday practice round at the RBC Heritage (tickets available at packet pickup). Overall male and female winners receive a Plaid Nation trophy and two tournament tickets; second and third place overall receive prize kits and a gift card as described by the organizer. Top three finishers in each age division receive an additional limited-edition medal. A race expo and packet pickup are held at Palmetto Running Company in Shelter Cove Towne Centre, with additional pickup available at the race site.
