Plaid Nation 5K
Plaid Nation 5K is scheduled for April 11, 2026, at Lowcountry Celebration Park in Hilton Head Island, South Carolina. The event is produced by Palmetto Running Company and benefits the Heritage Classic Foundation.
The event offers a 5K run/walk with multiple registration options: a standard entry, an entry that includes two golf practice-round tickets, and a youth price for participants 12 and under. Registration is online only and has a registration cutoff in early April 2026; some registration options have earlier deadlines. Stated registration fees include $35 for the standard 5K, $50 for the golf-ticket package, and $25 for the youth price. Packet pickup is organized the day before at Palmetto Running Company with additional pickup available at the race site.
Included with registration are a Plaid Nation 5K T-shirt and a finishers medal. Additional event items noted are a complimentary beer for participants over 21 and two practice-round entries for certain registration options; those tickets are distributed at packet pickup. Overall winners receive a Plaid Nation trophy and tournament tickets; second and third place awards and age-division medals are also listed.
The course starts at Lowcountry Celebration Park and runs through the South Forest Beach neighborhood on a partially closed course. Participants must follow pedestrian traffic laws; officers will staff high-traffic intersections. Palmetto Running Company will provide recycling.
