Tybee Turtle Trot 5k

The Tybee Turtle Trot is a 5k beach run on Tybee Island, Georgia. The start and finish line is on the beach by the boardwalk next to the Tybee Island Marine Science Center at 37 Meddin Dr.

Proceeds from the event benefit the Tybee Sea Turtle Project, a conservation project permitted through the Georgia Department of Natural Resources that monitors and protects sea turtles on the island. Funds raised will support a beach utility vehicle to advance responses for nesting and injured sea turtles.

Registration includes a runner shirt, a medal, and free admission to the science center on race day. Packet pick-up is at the science center on the Friday before the event and on the morning of the race. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
