Pinkathon Challenge for Breast Cancer 2026
The Pinkathon Challenge is a combined virtual and in-person running event held in support of the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. The in-person portion takes place in San Francisco at the Ferry Building and nearby Pier One on October 24, 2026. The virtual portion runs through October 31, 2026, and allows participants to complete distances on their own courses and on their own schedules.
Virtual registration is free. In-person registration carries a fee of $25; this fee covers basic event costs and is not a donation to the charity or tax-deductible. Donations to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation are voluntary and tax-deductible, and donation collection remains open through December 31, 2026.
The in-person San Francisco event is organized as a do-it-yourself format with no general aid stations and no course markings except for the 5K and 10K turnarounds and the Pink Ribbon Trail. Participants should bring or carry their own water and snacks. Downloadable maps and turn-by-turn directions are provided for the San Francisco routes, including a Pink Ribbon Trail map.
