Bearathlon 2026 : Berkeley Marina
Bearathlon takes place on October 24, 2026 at the Berkeley Marina. The event includes collegiate and age group divisions and both individual and team formats. Registration is open until and on race day, with entry fees listed per event and ranging from $55 to $95.
The race formats and main distances are:
- Draft Legal Sprint: 750m swim, 20k bike, 5k run
- Classic Sprint (Collegiate and Age Group): 750m swim, 20k bike, 5k run
- Classic Sprint Relay: team of three, one leg each
- Mixed Team Relay: team of four, each doing 250m swim, 5k bike, 1k run
Packet pick-up is available the day before, Friday October 23 from 2:00pm to 6:00pm at Sports Basement (2727 Milvia St., Berkeley), and on race morning starting at 6:00am. Packet pickup for friends or family is allowed with a copy or photo of the registrant’s ID.
Race operations notes: transition areas open and close at scheduled times for each event and a 30 minute swim warm up is provided. Draft legal rules apply to specific races; aero and time trial bikes are not allowed in draft legal fields and aero bars must be removed. Mirrors or glass are not permitted on any bikes. Water temperature is expected near 60°F so wetsuits are recommended; a vendor will offer wetsuit rentals and basic triathlon supplies on race morning.
