Pequot Runners Thanksgiving Day Race : November 27, 2025
The Pequot Running Club presents the 48th annual Thanksgiving Day event in Southport, Connecticut, held at the Wakeman Boys & Girls Club, 385 Center Street, Southport, CT 06890. The event includes a 5-mile race and a 2.6-mile walk. The myTEAM TRIUMPH program will participate with roles for Captains, Angels, and non-running volunteers, supporting athletes with disabilities who are guided by able-bodied partners.

Logistics and additional information
Strollers, baby joggers, and dogs are allowed in the 2.6-mile walk but are not permitted in the 5-mile race. Packet pick-up is available the Monday through Wednesday before race day at the Wakeman Boys & Girls Club; scheduled pick-up hours are 10:00 AM - 1:00 PM and 6:00 PM - 7:30 PM. Parking is available at the Southport train station, Pequot Library, Post Road retail lots, and Southport Congregational Church. A race raffle uses the tag from the bottom of the bib as the raffle ticket; announced winners may collect prizes at the Pequot Tent on the turf field or, if needed, inside the Warren gym. Proceeds support local organizations including Wakeman Boys & Girls Club, Caroline House, Junior Achievement, Pequot Library, and Westport EMS.
