Shoreline Turkey Trot 5K : West Haven, CT : November 26, 2026
The Shoreline Turkey Trot is a 5K running event held on November 26, 2026 at the Savin Rock Conference Center (beach side), 6 Rock St., West Haven, CT. Registration is handled online and fees include processing costs.
The course is flat and runs along the Savin Rock Boardwalk beside the beach, with coastal breezes and no vehicle traffic on the boardwalk. Unisex short sleeve technical shirts are provided to entrants, though sizes are not guaranteed. Results are published live online, by text, and by email; finish line photos and same-day video are available free.
Awards are presented as custom pint pilsner glass trophies: Top 5 male and female overall, and Top 5 male and female in age groups starting at 10-14 and continuing by typical brackets up to 80+. Bib pickup is available on-site; participants must know their bib number and a self-lookup area is provided if needed.
The event includes a food drive for WHEAT, a local food pantry that serves low-income residents, seniors on fixed incomes, veterans with limited benefits, and children. WHEAT distributes food to 5,000 households, including about 1,000 school-aged children.
