Milford Turkey Trot, Milford CT : November 26, 2026
The Milford Turkey Trot is a community charity fun run and walk that takes place on Thanksgiving morning, starting at Fowler Pavilion (1 Shipyard Lane, behind the library). The event is presented as a noncompetitive fun run/walk held on sidewalks through local streets and beachfront areas; no roads are closed and participants must follow all street laws.
Route options include a main loop of just over three miles that passes Gulf Beach, Calf Pen Meadow, Buckingham Avenue and New Haven Avenue before returning via Shipyard Lane. Two shorter out-and-back options are clearly marked for shorter distances, and all routes use sidewalks.
The event accepts in-person and virtual participants. Early packet pickup is planned on the days before the event as well as the evening before the event at the Turkey Trot headquarters; times and locations are tentative and confirmed by the organizers. Race shirts and packets are guaranteed for registrations received before November 3.
One hundred percent of proceeds and website donations support local Milford charities, including Milford Public Schools, Purple Pantry Boxes, and Avery's Little Army for pediatric cancer support. The event is volunteer run; volunteers and sponsors are used to support operations. Entry fees and donations are non-refundable. A public safety plan includes staggered starts by route length, no on-site registration, and hand sanitizer available on course. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
