Olympia Mile and Festival
The Olympia Mile and Festival takes place on August 22, 2026, in Olympia, Washington. The event features one mile routes for biking, running and walking along a closed section of Capitol Way, with a start near 24th Street and a finish at Sylvester Park.
There are several event options: a casual one mile bike ride, a casual one mile run that is not timed, a competitive one mile run where runners receive an official time and must pick up a bib before the race, and a casual one mile walk. Dogs are welcome on a leash for the walk. The event is free to attend, and registration is required for participation in the bike, run and walk events.
A festival at Sylvester Park runs alongside the finish area and includes opportunities to meet local groups, clubs and teams involved in sporting activities. There will be food trucks and giveaways.
