OAT Run : Olympic Adventure Trail Run, Port Angeles (April 11, 2026)
The OAT Run is a trail race on the Olympic Adventure Trail that crosses Kelly Ridge between Olympic National Park and the Strait of Juan de Fuca. The event offers single-track running through mossy forest, ferns, spring wildflowers, and viewpoints over the Elwha River Valley and the Olympic Mountains. The trail remains open to the public during the race, so runners may encounter bicycles, horses, and other trail users; runners are expected to yield to horses.
Distances and course facts:
- 12K point to point, roughly 7 miles, about 600 feet elevation gain.
- Half marathon point to point, just under 13 miles, about 1,300 feet elevation gain.
- 50K out and back on singletrack, approximately 4,500 feet cumulative elevation gain, 8 hour time limit.
Field size is limited to 130 runners per distance. Water and electrolyte stations are located at designated miles on each course and some stations offer snacks; portable toilets are at the start, some midcourse locations, and the finish. The event is cupless; reusableHydraPak SpeedCups are available at packet pickup and runners may carry personal hydration vessels. Post-race activities at Extreme Sports Park include a hot meal, a beer garden benefiting a local nonprofit, race photos, chip timing, packet swag, and shuttle service between the start and finish areas.
