OAT Run
The OAT Run takes place on April 11, 2026 in Port Angeles, Washington, on the Olympic Adventure Trail. The event uses single-track trails that traverse Kelly Ridge between Olympic National Park and the Strait of Juan de Fuca. Entry is limited to 130 runners per distance.
- 12K, point to point, just over 7 miles, about 600 feet elevation gain.
- Half marathon, point to point, just under 13 miles, about 1,300 feet elevation gain.
- 50K, out and back, entirely single-track, approximately 4,500 feet cumulative elevation gain.
The course is well marked and staffed with water and snack stations. Specific aid station locations vary by distance; some stations include portable toilets. The event operates a mandatory shuttle to the start and return shuttles from the finish. Packet pickup is available the day before and the morning of the race at Extreme Sports Park. The race is cupless; runners may use their own hydration vessel or a reusable cup provided at packet pickup.
During the race the trail remains open to the public; users may encounter bicyclists, horses, and other hikers. Bicyclists are expected to yield to runners and runners must yield to horses, stepping to the downhill side when meeting a horse. Clothing left with start-line officials will be available at a tent at the finish line. Dogs are not allowed at the finish area or after-party.
A portion of race proceeds is donated to local trail groups. Refunds, transfers, and cancellation insurance follow the published race policy. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
