About the race
The Oak Ridge Qualifier: Half and Full Marathon, held in Oak Ridge, Tennessee, is a late-season race ideal for runners aiming to qualify for the Boston Marathon or achieve a personal best in the half marathon. The event features a USATF-certified marathon course that is an out-and-back route along the Oak Ridge Turnpike with less than 600 feet of elevation gain, and a point-to-point half marathon course with under 400 feet elevation gain. The race is capped at 50 participants, offers minimal amenities (no shirts or awards), and requires runners to share the road with light traffic.
Aid stations are available at select miles, and safety precautions include running in low light with bright clothing or strobe lights. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
