Knoxville Marathon Event Overview

The Covenant Health Knoxville Marathon is a multi-distance running event held in Knoxville, Tennessee. The weekend features various races starting from Clinch Ave & World's Fair Park Dr, including options for runners of different interests. The distances available include:

  • 26.2 Miles (Marathon)
  • 26.2 Miles (4-person Relay)
  • 13.1 Miles (Half Marathon)
  • 3.1 Miles (5K)
  • 1 Mile (Kids Run)

Participants can choose between in-person competition and virtual options for each distance. Virtual participants receive a t-shirt, finisher medal, and goody bag, with the ability to submit results online. The event also includes categories for wheelchair and handcycle participants.

Two multi-race challenges are available for those wishing to compete on both days of the event. The Knox Hills Challenge consists of the 5K on Saturday followed by the full Marathon on Sunday. The Marble City Challenge involves the 5K on Saturday and the Half Marathon on Sunday. Both challenges provide finishers with an additional challenge medal and a retail item.
