NYCRUNS Manhattan Ice Cream Social 10K
The event on August 8, 2026 takes place on Governors Island at Colonels Row in New York, NY. The 10 km course is USATF certified and consists of two loops around the island with views of New York Harbor. Course support includes fluid stations and on-site medical support.
A Festival Area near the ferry terminal serves as bib and shirt pickup, bag check, and a post-race refreshment zone. Post-race provisions include water, electrolyte fluids, a bag of pretzels, an apple, and an ice cream or ice pop treat. Portable bathrooms will be available. Race shirts are tech shirts and are available for pick up on race day only; sizes are not guaranteed.
Start corrals are assigned by pace and labeled AA through F; assignments appear on the race bib. Bag check requires a single clear bag (18 x 24 inches) and items may be searched. Bibs can be picked up on race morning or mailed in advance to NYCRUNS members or for an added fee if registered at least 30 days before the event and the mailing address is within the United States.
Ferry rides to and from the island are provided for runners and guests on race morning. Handcycle and wheelchair athletes are not advised to register due to the course layout. Official results and award information for overall and age group placements will be published after the race.
