About the race
Central Park Comic Run is a themed community running event held at the Naumburg Bandshell in Central Park, New York City (307 The Mall, New York, NY 10019). The event offers in-person and virtual participation and encourages runners to dress as superheroes or villains while running on a comic-themed course.

Amenities include an informal bag check area, nearby bathrooms within a few minutes' walk, on-site hydration at the finish area, and branded refreshments provided by All Round Foods and Waterloo Sparkling Water. Participants receive a comic tee and a finisher medal. The 5K course is USATF certified.
Entry logistics listed by the organizer include on-site bib pickup and an option to have a bib mailed for $10 if registered at least ten days in advance. Virtual participants have from the event start day and a full week to log a time and may upload up to five photos; event items for virtual runners begin shipping on the first day of the event.
Race results and finish-line photos are provided live online, by email, or text, with same-day finish-line pictures available. A portion of event proceeds benefits the Never Stop Running Foundation, a 501(c)(3) organization that supports athletic and charitable events.
