Tactical Fitness Race Format
Nuclear Fit is an outdoor fitness event located in Brentwood, Essex. The race structure consists of six 1 km trail runs interspersed with six distinct functional workout stations. This event tests endurance and functional strength across a total distance of 6 km. Participants can enter as individuals or in doubles teams. In the doubles category, both partners run together and share the workload at each station.
Course Stations
The event features specific fitness challenges at each interval:
- Wheel Tyre Flip: Flipping a 3 ft or 4 ft tyre over a 100 m distance.
- Farmer Urn Hug: Carrying a 24 kg or 30 kg urn for 150 m.
- Plough Pull: Pulling a weighted sled (37 kg to 70 kg) for 125 m using shoulder reins.
- Milk Churn Carry: A 200 m carry with a weighted churn in each hand.
- Duck and Throw: Throwing a weighted bag over a bar ten times, combined with two 40 m runs.
- Squat and Lift: Completing 75 or 100 repetitions of a rack lift while incorporating a box sit.
Event Facilities
The venue is located 15 minutes from Brentwood station and Epping Underground station. The event site includes a central arena with music, sports massage stations, and various stalls. Participants are provided with chip timing that tracks performance splits for both the runs and the workout stations.
Finisher medals are awarded to all who complete the course, and trophies are given to the top three male and female winners. The event offers free on-site parking and free access for spectators.
