Nuclear Fit Relay
Nuclear Fit Relay is an outdoor functional fitness relay raced by teams of three. The format requires each team member to complete two runs and two functional fitness stations; teams swap chip timing after two stations. Teams may be all women, all men or mixed. The event lists an age guideline of 16 plus.
The event distance is shown as 6k and uses a fast-paced alternating relay format. Functional fitness stations include tyre flips, a farmer urn hug, plough pulls, milk churn carries, duck and throw segments, and a squat and lift set with prescribed rep targets. Station distances, weights and rep targets vary by category and gender.
Timing chips provide breakdowns for each run and workout station and finishers receive a medal. Spectator access and on-site parking are free. Organisers provide marshals, event photography and a central arena with music, stalls and sports massage; training sessions are available during the year.
There are Individual, Doubles and Relay entry options and opportunities to enter the Nuclear Fit League. Events are scheduled in July and September 2026 with a current entry price shown as £35 per person. The venue is in Brentwood, Essex, about 15 minutes from the A12, the M25 and the M11 and about 15 minutes from Brentwood station or Epping Underground station by taxi.
