About the race
The Spitfire Scramble is a 24 hour multi-terrain relay or solo race held in the London area at Albyns Farm entrance on South End Road, RM13 7YH. Entrants can compete solo or in teams of two to eight runners. Teams may have only one runner on the course at a time, and each runner must complete a full circuit before handing over to a team mate. Laps measure 5.75 miles.
The event runs continuously over a 24 hour period, with teams and solo runners completing as many laps as they can. Runners and supporters may arrive from Friday afternoon to set up camp and familiarise themselves with the course; camping is free. On-site services include catering, toilets, hot showers, sports massage and first aid.
