Running Wild 2027
Running Wild 2027 is an outdoor obstacle event taking place at the Wild Forest Obstacle & Activity Centre, Parsonage Farm, Ongar Road, Brentwood, Essex CM15 0LA. The course covers 5km and includes a series of obstacles involving water and mud, where participants climb, crawl, slide and splash.
The event is organised in partnership with Nuclear Races and includes on-course adaptations by instructors to suit different groups. Some swimming ability is helpful but not required; buoyancy vests and a water safety team will be in place for water sections. Participants over 13 may enter, and under-18s must be accompanied by an adult or guardian.
Registration details and inclusions are published by the organiser. The entry fee is £40 plus a booking fee, and participants are asked to pledge at least £100 in fundraising. Registered participants receive a Running Wild medal, a free post-race hot drink, free onsite parking, a post-race shower with hot water wash-down facilities, and a digital fundraising guide. Showers are provided for rinsing mud only and participants are asked not to bring shampoo or soap.
Spectators are allowed in designated viewing areas at the start and finish but are not permitted on the course. Toilets are available for both participants and spectators. The event raises funds to support the conservation work of Essex Wildlife Trust. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
