Running Wild 2027
Running Wild 2027 is a 5 km outdoor obstacle course held at the Wild Forest Obstacle & Activity Centre, Parsonage Farm, Ongar Road, Brentwood, Essex. The course includes mud and water features and asks participants to climb, crawl, slide and splash through a series of obstacles. The event takes place on Saturday 3 July 2027 and raises funds for Essex Wildlife Trust.
Registration includes a place in the event, a Running Wild medal, a free post-race hot drink, free onsite parking, a post-race shower and a digital fundraising guide. The registration fee is £40 plus a booking fee, and participants are asked to pledge to raise £100 each for the charity.
All entrants must be aged over 13; under-18s must be accompanied by an adult or guardian. Some swimming ability is helpful but not required; buoyancy vests will be available and a water safety team will be present around the lake. There are hot water wash down showers at the finish for rinsing mud, and toilets are provided for participants and spectators. Spectators are not permitted on the course but a spectator area is available at the start and finish.
Recommended clothing is fast-drying, breathable fabrics and lace-up trainers; plimsolls or football boots are not advised. Onsite parking is free. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
