NSRF The Watermelon 5K Blydenburgh - July 26, 2026
The event is a community running event held at Blydenburgh County Park in Hauppauge, NY on July 26, 2026. It offers a 5K run/walk, a virtual 5K, and a free kiddie fun run. A portion of proceeds and 100% of donations benefit the Never Stop Running Foundation, a 501(c)(3) organization.
The course follows a mixture of pavement, dirt roads, and hard-packed trails that are passable by vehicle. Amenities include an informal bag check area, bathrooms within a few minutes walk of the start and finish, porta-johns near the finish line, and hydration provided at the finish. Postrace refreshments are supplied by All Round Foods and Waterloo Sparkling Water. A seedless tech tee is available for participants.
Parking is available inside Blydenburgh County Park with primary parking recommended at Picnic Areas 1-5. After 8 am a parking fee applies per car; an alternative is parking at the Dennison Building and walking approximately half a mile to the start. Bib mailing is offered for an additional fee if requested at least ten days before the event.
Awards include watermelons for winners, with top overall male and female and top finishers in standard age group categories. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
