NSRF The Watermelon 5K Blydenburgh
The Watermelon 5K is an in-person and virtual running event held on July 26, 2026, at Blydenburgh County Park Campground Playground in Hauppauge, New York. The on-course surfaces include pavement, dirt roads, and hard-packed trails suitable for vehicles.

Amenities listed for participants include an informal bag check area, portable toilets near the finish, and hydration provided at the finish. Food and refreshments will be supplied by All Round Foods and Waterloo Sparkling Water. Bib mailing is available for an additional fee if requested at least ten days before the event.
Parking options are described for the park, with primary parking recommended near Picnic Areas 1-5 and additional areas near the boat launch, dog park, and the Dennison Building across the street which is about a half mile from the start. Event proceeds partially benefit the Never Stop Running Foundation, a 501(c)(3) organization that supports athletic and charitable events.
Awards include watermelons for top finishers, with top overall male and female and age group awards spanning youth through 90 plus categories. Virtual participants may upload up to five photos when submitting results. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
