NYC Ugly Sweater 5K & HM - NSRF 2026
The NYC Ugly Sweater 5K & Half Marathon takes place on December 19, 2026 at Prospect Park - The Peristyle in Brooklyn, NY. Participants run through the park's pedestrian paths on USATF certified circuits. The event includes on-course support, finish line hydration, and festive refreshments provided by All Round Foods & Waterloo Sparkling Water. Finishers receive an ugly sweater medal and a long sleeve tee.
Both in-person and virtual options are available. Distances:
- 5K one loop around the certified course
- Half Marathon four loops totaling 13.1 miles
The start area is located south of Duck Island adjacent to St. Paul’s Place and the finish is at the Grecian Shelter, the Peristyle. The half marathon offers live time tracking with split photos and has course support that ends at a 2 hour and 45 minute mark. Runners in the half marathon must cross the finish line on each loop for accurate split times and photos.
Registration options include in-person and virtual entries, with an optional bib mailing service for an additional fee if requested at least ten days before the race. Age group standings are posted online rather than awarded on site. A portion of event proceeds benefits the Never Stop Running Foundation, a 501(c)(3) that supports youth and special needs running programs.
