About the race
The East Brooklyn 5K Run/Walk is a community 5-kilometer event held on October 3, 2026 at Spring Creek Park at Gateway Mall in Brooklyn, NY. The event is presented by East New York Restoration and is described as a family-oriented day with post-race games and fitness activities.
The event distance is 5K. Registration materials note a base registration line of $25.00; example totals shown include processing fees (early-bird listed as $18.28 and a later total of $28.63). Suggested donation amounts are listed, including $5, $10, and $25. Team entries are optional.
Amenities include music and a DJ, refreshments, and finisher medals for all participants. Awards list the top three male and female overall finishers. An interactive course map is available through MapMyRun. Registering three weeks before race day allows a participant’s name to appear on the bib.
Bibs and shirts are available for early pickup at the organizer’s office on October 1 and October 2, with additional race-day pickup at Spring Creek Park at Gateway Mall. Registration terms state that all fees are non-refundable and non-transferable, and participants agree to the event waiver and photo/video release.
