East Brooklyn 5K Run/Walk - October 3, 2026
The East Brooklyn 5K Run/Walk is a community road event held at Spring Creek Park at Gateway Mall in Brooklyn, NY. It is organized by East New York Restoration as part of a series of local community activities. The event takes place rain or shine.
The event format is a 5-kilometre run or walk. Registration options include a base entry fee and optional donations. Registration includes a race t-shirt and a finisher medal; participants who register at least three weeks before the race will have their name printed on their bib. Team participation is optional.
Amenities listed for the event include music or a DJ, refreshments, family-oriented games, and fitness activities. Awards are given to the top three male and female overall finishers. An interactive course map is provided for the route.
Bib pickup is offered in advance at the organizer’s office at 1159 Elton Street, corner of Egan, Brooklyn, with early pickup on Thursday, October 1 and Friday, October 2. Race day bib pickup and registration are available at the event location on the morning of the race.
