The Bay Ridge Half Marathon
The Bay Ridge Half Marathon takes place in Brooklyn, New York, starting at the American Veterans Memorial Pier. The event is centered on the Shore Road Promenade, providing a flat course for participants. The route consists of three 4.36 mile loops along the waterfront, totaling a distance of 13.1 miles.
Participants navigate a path that offers views of the Verrazano Bridge, Lower Manhattan, and the Statue of Liberty. Due to the multi-loop design, the course is accessible for spectators to watch the progress of the run. Fluid stations are positioned approximately every mile along the promenade to provide hydration.
Registration includes access to a baggage check area located near the bib pickup site. The course support remains available for a duration of 3 hours. Upon completion, finishers receive medals at the pier. Post-event refreshments such as bagels, chips, cookies, and water are provided for the runners. Awards are also issued to those who place within their specific age groups. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
