RUN for WOSAC is a community race that supports the West Orange STOP Suicide Advocacy Coalition (WOSAC). The event aims to increase access to suicide awareness, prevention resources, and support services in the Township of West Orange.
The event materials emphasize that suicide is not inevitable and that starting conversations, providing support, directing people to help, reducing access to means of self-harm, and following up with loved ones are actions that can prevent suicides. Awards will be presented to the top male and female overall and to the top male and female in each age group: under 18, 19-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, and 60+.
