Luck o' the Irish St. Patrick's 5K NSRF
The event is a community 5K run/walk held at Heckscher State Park in East Islip on a USATF certified course. The program includes a free Kiddie Fun Run in addition to the main distance.
Event amenities include a commemorative lucky T-shirt for participants, post-race hydration at the finish, and high quality refreshments provided by All Round Foods and Waterloo Sparkling Water. Participants aged 21 and over may receive a complimentary beer in the post-race refreshment area with valid ID. An informal bag check area is provided; organizers do not assume responsibility for belongings. Restrooms are a few minutes' walk from the start and finish.

Parking is available at Field 1 and restrooms are located just north of the gazebo and playground. Bib distribution is available in person beginning one hour before the event; mailed bibs are offered for a $10 fee if registration is completed at least ten days in advance. A virtual participation option allows entrants to log a time and up to five photos from the first day of the event and within the following week; race items begin shipping the event start day.
Age-group recognition is awarded to top finishers overall and in multiple age categories from 14 and under through 90 plus. Results, same-day finish-line photos, and video are published online. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
