The Never Stop Running Foundation Luck o' the Irish 5K is scheduled for March 22, 2026 at Heckscher State Park Field 1 in Great River / East Islip, NY. The event is held rain or shine and includes a 5K run/walk plus a free Kiddie Fun Run. The 5K course is USATF certified.

Logistics and amenities
Registration offers both in-person and virtual options. A bib-mailing option is available for an additional fee if registered at least 10 days before the event; in-person bib pick-up is available starting one hour before the event. Virtual participants may log times during the event window and may upload up to five photos. Participants receive a T-shirt; virtual entries include a shirt and medal. Hydration is provided at the finish. Restrooms are a few minutes walk from the start and finish. An informal bag check area will be in the staging area. Post-race refreshments are provided by All Round Foods and Waterloo Sparkling Water. All participants aged 21 and over may receive a free beer in the post-race area; valid ID is required.
Competition and beneficiary
Online recognition is given to the top overall finishers by gender designation and to the top finisher in multiple age groups (14 & under through 90+). Donations benefit the Never Stop Running Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
