Luck o' the Irish St. Patrick's 5K
This event is a community 5K run/walk at Heckscher State Park in East Islip that benefits the Never Stop Running Foundation. The course is USATF certified and uses park roads and paths. Registration includes a themed T-shirt and post-race refreshments provided by All Round Foods and Waterloo Sparkling Water. Participants aged 21 and over may receive a complimentary beer on presentation of ID.

Amenities noted for participants include an informal bag check area, hydration at the finish line, and restrooms a few minutes' walk from the start and finish. Parking is available in Field 1; restrooms are located just north of the gazebo and playground. A virtual participation option allows entrants a one-week window to log a time and submit up to five photos; event items for virtual participants begin shipping on the event start day.
Bib handling options include in-person pickup starting one hour before the event and mailed bibs for a fee when registered at least ten days in advance. Bib placement guidance recommends wearing the bib on the mid-torso for accurate read rates. Results are available live online, by email, and by text, with same-day finish line photos and video. Online age-group recognition lists top finishers overall and in standard age bands from 14 & under through 90+.
