Luck o' the Irish St. Patrick's 5K NSRF
The event is a community 5K run/walk held at Heckscher State Park in East Islip on a USATF certified 5K course. The program also includes a free Kiddie Fun Run and a virtual participation option that allows entrants to log a time and upload up to five photos within the event week. Race items begin shipping the first day of the event.
Amenities include a LUCKY T-shirt for participants, informal bag check with no organizer responsibility, restrooms within a few minutes' walk from the start and finish, and hydration provided at the finish line. Post-event refreshments are supplied by All Round Foods and Waterloo Sparkling Water. Participants aged 21 and over may receive a complimentary beer with valid ID.
Bib options include in-person pickup starting one hour before the event, or mailing of a bib for a $10 fee if registered at least ten days in advance. For virtual entrants, mailed bibs begin shipping the Monday prior and may take 3-5 days after late signups.
Results are published live online with email and text options, and same-day finish line photos and video are available. Age group recognition is awarded to the top overall and to the top finisher in each category for 14 & under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, 80-89, and 90+.
One hundred percent of donations support the Never Stop Running Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that supports athletic and charitable events and athlete development. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
