Luck o' the Irish St. Patrick's 5K NSRF
The event is a community 5K run and walk held at Heckscher State Park in East Islip. Race activities include a free kiddie fun run and a virtual 5K option. The virtual option allows participants one week from the event start to log a time and upload up to five photos. Event items for virtual participants begin shipping on the first day of the event.

Amenities include a commemorative event T shirt for participants, hydration at the finish area, and post race refreshments provided by All Round Foods and Waterloo Sparkling Water. Participants aged 21 and over may receive a complimentary beer in the post race area with valid ID. An informal bag check area is available but the organizer does not assume responsibility for personal items. Bathrooms are a few minutes walk from the start and finish, with restrooms located near the gazebo and playground. Parking is available at Field 1.
Bib options include in person pickup on race day or mailing for a $10 fee when registration is completed at least ten days in advance. Results are published live online with same day finish line photos and video. The event donates 100 percent of donations to the Never Stop Running Foundation, a 501(c)(3) that supports athletic and charitable events and develops athletes.
