Great Pumpkin Dash Trail 5K NSRF
The Great Pumpkin Dash Trail is a trail 5K run/walk held at Blydenburgh Park / Nissaquogue Lands in New York. The course is scenic and shaded, made up of a mixture of dirt roads and hard-packed trails with a few sandy spots. The paths are described as not overly technical; strollers and wagons are not permitted.
Participants receive a Great Pumpkin Dash Trail tee. Amenities include an informal bag check area, park bathrooms within a few minutes' walk of the start and finish, hydration at the finish line, and refreshments provided by All Round Foods and Waterloo Sparkling Water. Live online, email, and text results are available with same-day finish line photos and free video.
A free kiddie dash takes place before the main event. There is a virtual option that allows participants to log a time and upload up to five photos during the event week; virtual participants may receive mailed bibs and items will begin shipping on the event day. In-person bib pickup and mailed bib options are available; mailed bibs require early registration and may incur a fee.
Parking guidance notes the Veteran's Highway entrance as primary access, with best parking at Picnic Areas 1-5 about half a mile in. Secondary parking is available near the boat launch and additional lots near the dog park. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
