Event overview
The Northwestern Trojan Turkey Trot takes place on Saturday, November 21, 2026, at Northwestern High School in Rock Hill, SC (2503 W Main St, 29732). The event is a fundraiser for the Northwestern cross country team and the Trojan Club. Two race options are offered:
- 5K
- 1 Mile Kids Fun Run
The 5K entry fee is $20; the kids 1 mile entry fee is $5. The 5K price increases after May 25, 2026. Registration is open through the morning of the race.
Course and logistics
Both events use Northwestern High School’s cross country course. The course is run primarily on grass and crosses parts of the ATC, Northwestern, and Rawlinson Road Middle School. The 1 mile fun run covers roughly the first and last half mile of the cross country course and shares the same start and finish as the 5K. The 5K is chip timed and will have a water station just past the halfway point. Packet pickup and late registration are available the day before at the Charlotte Running Company in Riverwalk and on race morning near the start/finish.
Awards, shirts and extras
Top three males and top three females in the 5K receive awards; age-group awards are given to the top three in listed age categories. Overall male and female winners will have their names added to a plaque in the athletic office. All kids fun run finishers receive a medal. 5K registrants who register by November 9 will receive a T-shirt; later registrants receive shirts while supplies last.
