Northwestern Trojan Turkey Trot
The Northwestern Trojan Turkey Trot takes place on Saturday November 21, 2026 at Northwestern High School, 2503 W Main St, Rock Hill, SC 29732. It is a fundraiser for the Northwestern Cross Country team and the Trojan Club, which supports hundreds of student athletes at the high school.
Events include:
- 5K
- 1 Mile Kids Fun Run
Both races are held on the school cross country course, which is run primarily on grass and covers parts of the ATC, Northwestern, and Rawlinson Road Middle School. The 1 Mile Fun Run will roughly cover the first and last half mile of the cross country course and will share the same start and finish area as the 5K. The 5K is chip timed and results will be posted on RunSignUp. A water station will be available on course just past the halfway point.
The 1 Mile Fun Run is intended for children 12 and under. All fun run finishers will receive a medal. Fun run entry does not include a race shirt; shirts may be purchased for an additional fee. Parents may run with their child without registering unless they wish to purchase a shirt.
Awards for the 5K include top three male and female overall placings, age group awards for several categories, and an alumni division for Northwestern graduates with awards for overall male and female alumni. The event also includes a canned food drive for local nonperishable donations. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
