Terror Trails Ultra
Terror Trails Ultra takes place in Waxhaw, NC at Cane Creek Park on October 31, 2026. The event offers multiple trail distances and repeats its third annual running on local park trails that include smooth sections, technical terrain, rocks, roots, creek crossings and climbs.

- 50K
- 25K
- 8 Miler
- 4 Miler
Course details cover a range of experiences. The 4 mile route is a single loop of about four miles and includes one aid station. The 8 mile route is one lap of roughly eight miles and also passes one aid station. The 25K is described as a full tour of the park on an approximately 15 mile loop; runners pass two aid stations multiple times and there is an eight hour cutoff for the distance. The 50K consists of two laps of the 25K loop, passes six aid stations plus the start/finish area, and has a ten hour cutoff; runners must meet a midrace cutoff to continue onto lap two.
All registered participants receive race entry for any distance, a finisher's medal, and a cookout lunch of burgers and hot dogs. Shirt orders are sold separately. Packet pickup is scheduled the evening before at Middle James Brewery in Waxhaw. Aid stations will provide water, sports drink and snacks; runners expected to be on course about 90 minutes or longer are strongly encouraged to wear a hydration vest.
