Terror Trails Ultra is a trail running event held at Cane Creek Park in Waxhaw, NC (5213 Harkey Road) on October 31, 2026. The event offers multiple distances on park trails and follows looped courses that combine smooth sections with technical terrain.

Course notes: The 4 Miler is a single roughly 4 mile loop with a mix of smooth and technical sections and one aid station. The 8 Miler is a single roughly 8 mile loop with more technical trail and one aid station. The 25K uses a roughly 15.5 mile loop that includes rocks, roots, creek crossings and vertical; runners pass two aid stations multiple times. The 50K is two laps of the 25K loop, includes six aid stations plus the start/finish area, and runners cross the start/finish to begin the second lap. There is an 8 hour cutoff for the 25K and a 10 hour cutoff for the 50K; 50K runners must begin their second lap by 12:30 pm to continue.
Additional event information: A single entry fee of $45 covers entry into any distance and includes a cookout lunch. Aid stations will be stocked with water, Gatorade and snacks. Packet pickup is on-site and opens at 7:00 am on race day. Top three overall in each distance receive awards. Weather has varied historically from the 40s to the 80s Fahrenheit.
