HeroRun 5K & 1K Fun Run
HeroRun is a community running event on October 31, 2026 at Fairview Plaza, 5950 Fairview Road, Charlotte, NC 28210. The event is hosted by American Asset Corporation and Fairview Plaza and supports Veterans Bridge Home, a Charlotte nonprofit that provides employment, housing, healthcare connections, and community programs for veterans and their families.
Two primary running options are offered the same day, along with music and on-site activities. Members of all five branches of the U.S. military will be present as part of the event.
Distances and options:
- 5K through South Park neighborhoods.
- 5K RUCK with a required rucksack or backpack: minimum 10 lbs for women and 20 lbs for men.
- 1K Fun Run close to Fairview Road.
- Kids 1K for ages 10 and under is free.
The event has a fundraising component. Since its inception, HeroRun has raised more than $250,000 to support Veterans Bridge Home. Registration categories include standard entries, a Sleep In Supporter option, Sponsor a Hero to cover a local servicemember or veteran, and donations for the nonprofit.
Registration policies state there are no refunds, race management may cancel or modify the event for unfavorable conditions, and fees are not refundable in the event of Acts of God. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
