HeroRun 5K & 1K Fun Run
HeroRun 5K & 1K Fun Run is a community running event at Fairview Plaza, 5950 Fairview Road, Charlotte, NC, on October 31, 2026. The event honors people who serve and support the community, including veterans, active-duty service members, teachers, healthcare workers, first responders, coaches, parents, and neighbors.
The event is hosted by American Asset Corporation and Fairview Plaza. Proceeds and fundraising support Veterans Bridge Home, a Charlotte nonprofit that provides employment support, housing resources, healthcare connections, and community engagement programs for veterans and their families. Since its inception, HeroRun has raised more than $250,000 for Veterans Bridge Home. A local fundraising effort called the "Lemon Aid Stand" has raised over $80,000 for the same cause.
Two races take place on the event day, and the program includes music, activities, and appearances by members of all five branches of the U.S. military. Registration categories include a ruck option and youth entries, as well as supporter and sponsor options that cover registration costs for local servicemembers or veterans.
