Chartway Norfolk Harbor Race Weekend presented by Sentara
The Chartway Norfolk Harbor Race Weekend is a multi-race event in Norfolk, Virginia, featuring a half marathon, a 10K, a 5K, and a Kids Mile. Courses run through Downtown Norfolk, historic neighborhoods, the NEON District, and past the Old Dominion University campus. The half marathon route follows parts of the Elizabeth River Trail and finishes beside the Elizabeth River, with a post-race celebration at Town Point Park.
Packet pickup and an expo take place in the days leading up to and during the race weekend. Post-race celebrations titled Groovin’ Gourmets are held at Town Point Park following the races on the weekend.
The organizer describes the half-marathon course as flat and fast. Runners on the half-marathon route will pass a notable public art feature: there are over 20 mermaid sculptures along the course. Several races start on Waterside Drive in front of Town Point Park, and finishes are located along the Elizabeth River.
