K5K - A Run for Kendra
The K5K is the 14th annual run/walk held on November 21, 2026, offering both an in-person event on the Virginia Beach Boardwalk and a virtual 5K option. The event program includes an in-person k5k Run/Walk and a k5k Virtual, each covering 5K.
The event raises money for a scholarship fund that benefits college students who have lost a parent to cancer and who display qualities noted by the organizer. To date, the event has awarded over $155,000 in scholarships.
Registration opens June 26, 2026 and closes October 31, 2026; the registration fee is $35.00 for the listed entries. Virtual registrants receive email instructions for posting results, and virtual results can be submitted at any time during November.
Packet pick-up takes place at Running Etc, 1940 Laskin Rd UNIT 302, Virginia Beach, VA 23454. An after party is scheduled at The Shack, 712 Atlantic Ave, Virginia Beach, VA 23451.
