K5K - A Run for Kendra
K5K - A Run for Kendra is the 14th annual run/walk held on Saturday, November 21, 2026, at the 1st Street Jetty on the Virginia Beach Boardwalk in Virginia Beach, VA. The event includes two options: the in-person k5k Run/Walk at the boardwalk and a k5k Virtual option that allows participants to run or walk from any location, with virtual results accepted during the month of November.
The event raises funds for a scholarship fund established in memory of Kendra R. Atherton. Scholarships benefit college students who have lost a parent to cancer and who demonstrate the qualities highlighted by the organizers. To date the k5k has awarded over $155,000 in scholarships.
