The NOLA Dogs "Race to the Rescue" is a 5K Run/Walk held on October 11, 2026 at Heaven's Pets at Lake Lawn Metairie Cemetery in New Orleans. The event is presented as the ninth annual edition and includes both an in person chip timed race and a virtual division.
Participants receive a commemorative T shirt, a finisher medal, a goodie bag and post race refreshments. The course passes through the historic grounds of Lake Lawn Metairie Cemetery. A second line parade with a live brass band precedes the event and a Blessing of the Pets takes place after the race.
