Event Overview
The Kelsey Bradley Favrot Memorial Run & Walk is an 11th annual event taking place on September 27, 2026 in Audubon Park, New Orleans. It is a memorial event that supports brain cancer research and treatment. The event's goal is to fund a neuro-oncology program at LSU Health New Orleans so patients can receive quality care locally.
Event Distances
Participants can choose from three events:
- 5K Run/Walk
- 5K - NOTC Family (for NOTC members)
- Kids 1/2 Mile Run/Walk (for ages 13 and under)
Beneficiary and Purpose
Proceeds from the event support the LSU Department of Neurosurgery Brain Tumor Center, which provides advanced treatment and research for brain cancer patients in New Orleans.
Logistics and Registration
The event starts and finishes at Audubon Park - Shelter 10. Late registration is available on race day but closes 30 minutes before the start. Race day registrants are not guaranteed a race shirt. Participants receive post-race refreshments, beer, and jambalaya.
Additional Information
Pre-race packet pickup is available at Varsity Sports Uptown on September 26, 2026. The event is open to runners and walkers of all speeds and to both members and non-members of the New Orleans Track Club (NOTC). NOTC members receive a discount on the standard 5K registration.
