About the race
The memorial 5K Run/Walk takes place in Audubon Park at Shelter 10, 6500 Magazine Street, New Orleans, LA. The event includes running, walking, and racewalking options and features a separate youth distance.

Proceeds support the LSU Department of Neurosurgery Brain Tumor Center, which provides treatment and research for brain cancer patients in New Orleans. The LSU Foundation has established a chair in neuro-oncology in connection with this effort.
Packet pickup and late registration occur on race day. Post race refreshments, beer, and jambalaya are provided to registered participants. The event is open to runners and walkers, with both NOTC members and nonmembers welcome.
