No Man's Land Trail Run
No Man's Land Trail Run takes place on October 17, 2026 in Lake Charles, Louisiana at Sam Houston Jones State Park near 107 Sutherland Road. Distances offered include:
- 50K
- 25K
- 7.78 Miler
The course uses an approximately 8 mile loop around the park perimeter. The route follows Riverwalk, Eagle Scout, Purple Haze Extension, Nature Conservancy, Bailey's Bender, Old Blue, Blue Connector and the Cabin Trail, and returns along the river to the boardwalk. Trail changes for 2026 removed the road portion. The loop has about 125 feet of elevation gain and descent and includes roots, tight turns, water crossings and bridges. The course will be marked with flags and arrows.
Aid is available at the start/finish pavilion with manned aid and restroom options. A second manned aid station near mile 4 will provide water, electrolytes and snacks; restroom access is limited at that location. Pacers are allowed only for the 50K and only for the final two loops; runners must carry their own supplies and only one pacer may accompany a runner at a time. Pacers should pick up a pacer bib.
Awards go to the top three male and female finishers in each distance and one DFL award per distance. No age group awards are given. A no-medal registration option is available by default; each finisher receives a yearly enamel pin. An 8 Mile Ruck division is offered with dry weight recommendations and gear restrictions.
