Leprechaun 3 Miler by Lake Area Runners
Lake Area Runners hosts its annual Leprechaun 3 Miler on March 14, 2026, in Lake Charles, Louisiana. The race is formerly known as the Athlete's Corner 3 Miler. The course starts and finishes at Big Daddy's Sports Grill, 1737 W. Sale Road, and winds through a nearby neighborhood. The organizer describes the course as flat and fast. Participants are encouraged to wear St Paddy's Day attire.
Registration fees are tiered by date: $30 through March 4, 2026; $35 from March 5 through March 12, 2026; and $40 on race day. Age based pricing applies: ages 5 to 9 pay $5 with no shirt included, and ages 65 and older register free with no shirt included. Short sleeved performance shirts are provided to registered participants except those ages 5 to 9 and those 65 and older. Shirts are guaranteed for participants who registered prior to February 17 and may be purchased separately for $20 as an add on.
Packet pickup location is to be determined. Registered participants must present photo identification for pickup; immediate family members may pick up on behalf of a participant with identification. Awards include Big Daddy gift certificates and gift cards for the top three finishers in each age group. Parking is not permitted on Sale Road.
