Event overview
The Prudentia Classic takes place on Saturday, April 25, 2026, in Lake Charles, Louisiana at 1611 W. Sale Rd, 70605. The event includes the following distances:
- 5k
- 1 Mile Fun Run
Registration opens December 1, 2025. Entry fees listed are $45 for the 5k and $35 for the 1 Mile; the pre-race fee is $45 and the onsite fee is $50. The event is organized to raise funds for capital and scholarship needs and to bring awareness of classical Christian education.
Logistics and policies
Packet pickup is scheduled the day before the race at the Student Ministries Building at 1611 W. Sale Rd. Shirt sizes are guaranteed if registration is completed by 11:59 pm on April 14, 2026; shirts can also be purchased through that date. Parking is available on the rear west side of the building and on the north side facing Sale Rd; if Sale Rd is blocked, access to the west parking lot is available from Alma Ln.
Awards for the 5k include overall male and female (ages 18-49) and overall Masters male and female (ages 50-99). The 1 Mile has top male and female awards for age groups 5-7, 8-10, 11-13, and 14-17. The races are held rain or shine; lightning or poor visibility may lead to delays, route changes, or cancellation. Cancellation notices will be sent to registered participants by email and posted on the event Facebook page, and race packets will be available at the race location if the event is cancelled.
