Event overview
The Prudentia Classic takes place on Saturday, April 25, 2026, at 1611 W. Sale Rd, Lake Charles, LA 70605. The event is the sixth annual Run Pro Rege and includes a community 5K and a 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk. The stated aims are to raise awareness of classical Christian education and to raise funds for capital and scholarship needs.

Entry fees listed for the events are $45 for the 5k and $35 for the 1 Mile. Prices increase after April 14, 2026.
Logistics and policies
Packet pickup is scheduled for April 24, 2026, at the Student Ministries Building, 1611 W. Sale Rd. The races are planned to be held rain or shine; in cases of lightning or reduced visibility the start may be delayed, the route altered, or the event cancelled. If the race is cancelled, registered participants will be notified by email and a notice will be posted on the event Facebook page. Race packets will be available at the race location the morning of the event if needed.
Parking is available on the rear west side of the building and on the north side of the Student Ministries building facing Sale Rd.
Awards and shirts
5k awards will be issued to overall male and female in ages 18-49 and to Masters male and female in ages 50-99. The 1 Mile awards are for top male and female in the following age groups: 5-7, 8-10, 11-13, and 14-17. All runners pre-registered on or before April 13, 2026, will receive a t-shirt. Shirt sizes are guaranteed for registrations completed by 11:59 pm on April 14, 2026; race day registrants are not guaranteed shirts. T-shirts are available for purchase through April 14, 2026.
