Event overview
The Prudentia Classic, titled Run Pro Rege (for the King), takes place on Saturday, April 25, 2026 in Lake Charles, Louisiana at 1611 W. Sale Rd, 70605. The event includes the following distances:
- 5k Run
- 1 Mile Fun Run
The event is in its sixth year. Registration fees are listed for each event and there is a price increase after April 14, 2026.
Logistics and policies
Packet pickup is scheduled for April 24, 2026 at the Student Ministries building at 1611 W. Sale Rd. Shirt sizes are guaranteed for registrations completed by 11:59 pm on April 14, 2026; race day registrants are not guaranteed shirts. Race t-shirts are available for purchase through April 14.
Parking is available on the rear west side of the building and on the north side facing Sale Rd; if Sale Rd is blocked, access to the west lot is available from Alma Ln. The races are held rain or shine; in case of lightning, fog, or severe weather the start may be delayed, the route altered, or the event cancelled at the Race Director’s discretion. If the race is cancelled, registered participants will be notified by email and information will be posted on the event Facebook page. Awards are planned for overall and age-group categories for the 5k and for age groups in the 1 Mile. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
