Dolly Run 5K/1K Run/Walk for Reading : Lake Charles, LA
The Dolly Run 5K/1K Run/Walk for Reading takes place on April 18, 2026, in downtown Lake Charles. The main timed course is a professionally measured 3.1-mile route that passes through the downtown area. The event benefits United Way Southwest Louisiana and supports literacy programs that reach 3,480 children monthly.

A book donation station will collect new and used children’s books for local classroom libraries. Additional on-site activities include a DJ and karaoke focused on Dolly Parton songs. Packet pickup is scheduled at United Way Southwest Louisiana on April 16, April 17, and April 18; parking is available around the downtown area.
