Event details
The NM Route 66 "Mother Road" Half Marathon is scheduled for Sunday, March 1, 2026, in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The event is hosted by RunFit and is based at the Albuquerque Little Theatre, 224 San Pasquale Ave. SW. A portion of the proceeds will benefit the Albuquerque Little Theatre, a local 501(c)(3) community theatre organization.
Race formats
The event includes these distances:
- Half Marathon (2-loop course)
- 6.6 mile run
- 6.6K run or walk
- 6.6K run or walk -17 and under
- 1-mile walk
Overall awards for each distance are given to the top three men and women by gun time. Age-group awards are specified for each race with listed age categories. The half marathon has a 3.5 hour cut-off time.
Rules and logistics
All participants receive an electronic timing device permanently attached to their bib; the bib must be worn on the front and visible to be entered in results and eligible for awards. Strollers and wheelchairs are permitted but must start at the back. The use of music devices is allowed, but athletes competing for prizes may not use headphones or earpieces. Entry fees are non-refundable and race entries are not transferable. Water and Powerade are provided at fluid stations along the course.
