Event Overview
The Cedro Peak Trail Run is a trail running event offering two distances: 50K and 25K. It takes place in the Cibola National Forest near Tijeras, New Mexico.
Course Details
The courses use single-track and dirt jeep trails that wind through ponderosa pine and pinon forests, scrub oak, and meadow areas. Runners can expect views of the Sandia and Manzano Mountains. The terrain includes a mix of climbs, descents, and runnable flat sections, ranging from flowy single track to technical rocky parts. Event Features
Participation is limited to 300 runners overall, with a waitlist available. Registration includes a race t-shirt (with size not guaranteed after April 1, 2026), a finisher award for all completers, professional photography, race timing, post-race refreshments, and aid stations. The event is organized by local runners and volunteers.
Registration Policies
The event does not offer refunds or rollovers. Transfers to a different distance within the same year or to another runner are possible with approval from the race director. The race director reserves the right to cancel or modify the event due to adverse conditions such as forest closures or wildfire threats, or to comply with National Forest Service guidelines.
