Cedro Peak Trail Run
The Cedro Peak Trail Run on April 18, 2026 takes place in the Cibola National Forest near Tijeras, NM. The event offers two distances:
- 50K
- 25K
Courses use single track and jeep dirt trails through ponderosa pine, pinon, scrub oak and meadow areas. Runners will encounter a mix of climbs, descents and runnable flatter sections, with terrain that ranges from flowy single track to technical rocky sections. The route includes views of the Sandia and Manzano Mountains.
Participation is limited to 300 overall entrants with a waitlist. Entry includes a race t-shirt, a finisher award for those who complete their race, professional photography, race timing, post-race refreshments and well stocked aid stations supported by volunteers. The event is organized by local runners and volunteers and has a long history of local and out of state participants.
Registration closes April 17, 2026 at 11:59 PM Mountain Time. Due to vendor production time, organizers cannot guarantee a shirt or preferred size for entries received after April 1, 2026. There are no refunds or rollovers; transfers to another distance in the same year or to another runner are allowed with approval of the race director. The race director may cancel or modify the race for National Forest closures, wildfire threat or other conditions beyond control. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
