Event Overview
The Rabbit Run is the fifth annual event, taking place on Saturday, April 4, 2026. It is held at Los Poblanos Fields Open Space in Albuquerque, NM, near the intersection of Tierra Viva Pl NW and Montano.
Events
The event features three activities:
- Rabbit 5K Run/Walk: A professionally chip-timed race. All registrants receive a custom hat and a finisher medal.
- 1 Mile Run: A new addition to the event. It is also professionally chip-timed, and registrants receive a custom hat and a finisher medal.
- Kids Egg Hunt: Sponsored by EZEE Fiber, this hunt is for children 12 years and under. Approximately 2,000 eggs with candy will be hidden in the open space, and children will be released to hunt them in age-group intervals.
Additional Features
Three large Easter eggs will be hidden along the 5K and 1-mile courses. A prize will be awarded for the best Easter-themed costume. The event includes music, snacks, and an on-site photographer. Strollers and dogs are permitted.
A group warm-up before the races will be led by an athlete identified as a 2020 and 2024 Olympian.
Facilities and Logistics
Restrooms are located in the parking lot southwest of the start line. Parking is available in the general Los Poblanos Open Space parking lot, with overflow parking on a nearby dirt road. The event notes that parking is limited. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
