Rabbit Run - Albuquerque, April 4, 2026
The Rabbit Run is the fifth annual community event held at Los Poblanos Fields Open Space in Albuquerque, NM on April 4, 2026. The event combines timed running events with a children’s egg hunt and on-site amenities.
Distances and activities include:
- 5K Run/Walk
- 1 Mile Run
- Kids Egg Hunt for ages 1 to 12
Both the 5K and the 1 mile run are open to all and are professionally chip timed. All registrants for those events receive a custom hat and a finishers medal. Organizers will hide three large Easter eggs along the running courses.
The kids egg hunt will use 2,000 eggs filled with candy placed throughout the open space and will run in age-based intervals. Strollers and dogs are welcome at the venue. The event features a free on-site photographer, music, snacks, and a special prize for the best Easter themed costume.
Awards for the 5K include top three male and top three female in age categories from 0-5 up to 70 and over, with overall female and male winners receiving additional prizes. Restrooms are located in the parking lot southwest of the start area. Parking is available at the Los Poblanos Open Space lot with a limited overflow option on the adjacent dirt road.
